Awesomeness! I'm in a totally good mood. Well just recently I got my tax refund!! Hurray!! So I'm totally happy about that! But what made my day the best was the end of it.. Or the ending part of work I should say.
So at my work there was inventory today. D: Counting thousands of books in a big huge warehouse for 12 hours. It started at 6:50 AM and lasting till 6:50PM or basically 7-7. It was kinda bad. What there is to be expected on that dreadful day. Wallering around in dusty shelves handeling dusty books that have been there for a year.....or more. A lesson learned is to never wear good clothes to work especially on that certain day. Because it is a dust factory. Oh and stock up on food since you will be there a while.
Well the day was coming to an end. I was a scanner, scanning the last aisle in the warehouse before the day comes to and end. I saw Nap and I smiled at him. I kinda like nap, hes like me a quiet shy person. So I just passed him by with a smile and continued working. After that whole aisle is completely scanned we went up to the front and waited. So we thought we would be doing some paper work and checking if the locations we scanner were correct. Just fixing errors and stuff.
So on the way back up to the front I ran into nap again.. Or I was rather kinda running to catch up to him. ^_^ And eventually I did. I said hi and we smiled at each other. I asked him how old he was kinda shyishly. He said he was 28 and then asked how old I was back. Once we got up to the front of the warehouse we waited and talked.
I guess I broke the ice with asking how old he was. He continued to talk to me asking me about my interests and things I do when im not at work. I told him that i watch youtube videos of funny or stupid crap. Basically stupid pointless videos. Then he engaged what I said and he said something like "oh have you seen this one funny video" whatever whatever. And I said no..
He asked what am I going to do this weekend. I said "I'll be back here at 7:00AM" Which lead to the question what I do in my free time. He told me that he likes to fish. And i think he asked me if i fished or something like along those lines. I told him no. Kinda shaking my head no. After a while there was a moment of awkward silence. Us and other around us just standing around waiting for what to do next. Then some of his friends came around and he sorta talked to them.
This one guy asked some question about "Is your name ____" and I said no. . It was obviously some kind of joke. Cause he asked Nap the very same question and he responded no. So when the question was directed toward me I obviously said no. But in the midst of people talking around us he did ask "what type of music do you like". A common question to find common ground between the two of us. But I got distracted or he got distracted and I never answered the question.
Then the main dog in charge got our attention said he needed 20 volunteers. I volunteered reluctantly since when you volunteer that means you volunteer to stay later than everyone else and are the last to leave. I was trying to get Nap to come over to my side the volunteer side. I knew he really wanted to leave. But I kept starting and smiling at him sorta like a grin. He did come over eventually. I'm glad he did.
Though to our surprise the 20 that volunteered got to go home EARLY! That made my day too. Like a cherry on top of ice cream! Talking to Nap was good its probably the first time we actually had some sort of conversation. Any other time I see him I just smile and walk past or nothing at all happens.
So instead of leaving at 7:00 I got off about an hour early and I don't even have to come in for that 2nd day! So happy!!! I really wish I can talk to Nap outside work. I wish he had facebook or even myspace.. But no which is weird cause he says he does watch youtube so he has to have inet right? I can't wait to talk to see him monday and possibly talk again. ^_^
